A new TENAA listing has revealed that Xiaomi is planning to launch a new smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth, in China. Xiaomi’s flagship Mi smartphones have not caught much attention in the past. But this time around, instead of one, Xiaomi has launched a whole family of Mi 8 devices. These devices include Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 SE and according to the leaks, the launch of Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth is just around the corner.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Specifications:
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will feature a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. On the hardware front, it will have the recently launched Snapdragon 710 chip with 6GB Ram and 64GB onboard storage.
There is a glass sandwich design with a horizontal dual camera setup on the rear, the primary sensor being a 12MP shooter. This device will be a selfie-centric phone as it is targeted towards the youth sporting a 24MP selfie camera. The battery will likely be a 3350mAh with QuickCharge 3.0 support.
Specs of this device seem right on point with the Snapdragon 710 as it performs very well and is considered closest to the flagship performance. The selfie camera is the focus which will potentially attract most of the customers from Asian markets. Xiaomi is really pushing forward to make their flagship grade smartphones affordable. We really appreciate this move but honestly, there is very less hope for this smartphone coming to India. It is just because of the recently launched Poco F1 by Xiaomi which offers so much more power and is better value for money overall.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Price:
Mi 8 Youth will surprisingly be offered in a ton of color: Black, Rose Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, Silver, and Green. It could actually be the first smartphone of all to come in this many color options. The price, however, is still unknown. The price will be confirmed only after an official announcement from the company.
