Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Mi Notebook in China to extend its laptops to the budget segment after launching the expensive Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Gaming Laptops. Mi seems to be successfully increasing its market share in the Chinese laptop market by providing high-end specifications such as SSD’s in the budget segment and this new laptop is no exception.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Specifications:

Xiaomi Mi Notebook

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook comes with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display. There are 3 configurations with 8th Gen i5 Processor + 4GB ram in the base model, 8th Gen i5 + 8GB ram in the mid and 8th Gen i7 + 8GB ram in the top model. A 1TB hard-drive and a 128GB SSD is standard across all variants. In the graphics department, there is a GeForce MX110 dedicated GPU running the show with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

The 8th gen processors being quad-core are a major step up from the previous generation and provide enough power to handle modern day-to-day usage. The MX110 being a fairly old chip, you shouldn’t expect any heavy gaming out of it. Although it is far better than any integrated graphics solutions. The laptop boasts of a dual fan layout with 2+2 heat sink pipes for cooling. The keyboard is of full size with a numeric keypad. The dual 3W speakers with Dolby Audio are an added benefit.

On the connectivity front, the Mi Notebook has 2xUSB 3.0 and 1xUSB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, an HDMI port, an Ethernet port and a memory card slot. It also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless connection.
