LG has announced its first Android One device, the LG G7 One ahead of IFA 2018 in Berlin where it will unveil two devices, the G7 One and the G7 Fit. It seems to have taken a leap here by offering Android One software on a flagship-grade device.
LG G7 One Specifications:
The LG G7 one supports a QHD+ 6.1-inch Full Vision IPS LCD display with a notch. Surprisingly, LG has gone with last year’s flagship processor, Snapdragon 835. There is only one variant with 4GB ram and 32GB storage which is expandable via microSD. It runs on Android One program, comes with 8.1 Oreo and will be updated to Android 9 Pie. No dual cameras here, just a 16MP rear sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 8MP front sensor with a wide angle lens. The battery is 3000mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 support. LG has also included all its flagship features like Boombox speaker, and a quad DAC in the headphone jack.
LG mentioned that the LG G7 One will come with an “exceptional price” though we don’t have any numbers yet. Including Android One is an excellent move by LG as its own skin was not liked by a majority of users. This could potentially help them save their falling market share.
LG G7 Fit Specifications:
One more device was announced today, the G7 fit, it seems similar to the G7 One expect the processor. An even older Snapdragon 821 chip is used in this device. What ruins the excitement here is the fact that it will have LG’s own skin on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
Since we do not have any word about the pricing of these devices yet, just sit back until these devices are showcased at IFA 2018 event taking place in Berlin on 31st August 2018.
